One of the most talked about names in football at the moment is that of Simone Inzaghi. As head coach of Lazio, he is leading the capital club in an unlikely Scudetto race.
According to SportMediaset – as cited by MilanLive – Inzaghi could choose to make a qualitative leap next season by moving to a club with bigger resources. While the temptation would be there of course to lead the Aquile into the Champions League and, who knows, maybe even a Scudetto defence, three teams are ‘probing the ground’.
Among the teams in question are Milan. The report claims that the Rossoneri have been following his work for some time and he is a manager well-liked by the club’s hierarchy as he is capable of taking a team like the Lazio and making them compete with Juve and Inter.
However Milan are not alone, as Barcelona and Juventus are also taking a keen interest in how Inzaghi’s work is going. The LaLiga giants are expecting to change coach again ahead of next season, while the Bianconeri have seen their dominance falter under Maurizio Sarri despite still being atop Serie A.
In short, there are possibilities for Super Pippo’s brother, who could therefore be the second Inzaghi to coach Milan after the 2014-2015 experience of the former striker, one which didn’t end well.
