Mediaset: Real Madrid loanee has played his last game for Milan as €20m replacement is eyed

By Oliver Fisher -

Brahim Diaz will not be staying at AC Milan beyond the conclusion of his loan spell, forcing the management to look into potential replacements.

According to Claudio Raimondi in his latest update for SportMediaset on Italia Uno (via MilanNews), yesterday’s game against Hellas Verona saw Brahim Diaz play his last match with Milan.

Real Madrid were in two minds about what to do with the playmaker but they have in fact decided to bring him back to the Spanish capital, given that Marco Asensio has decided to leave and will go to PSG on a free.

With the departure of Diaz – who was often used on the right flank by Pioli – the Rossoneri will try to sign Domenico Berardi from Sassuolo. He is valued at €20m by the Neroverdi, and there is competition from Lazio to beat.

The 28-year-old scored 12 goals in 26 league games this season, having scored 15 in 33, 17 in 30 and 14 in 31 in the three seasons prior, so he certainly fits the bill if Milan want better attacking output.
