Mediaset: U-turn in Zaniolo’s probable fate as Milan and Juve baulk at €55-60m demand

By Oliver Fisher -

Nicolo Zaniolo is now more likely to stay at Roma than join either of their Serie A rivals AC Milan or Juventus, according to a report.

According to SportMediaset (via PianetaMilan), there was a meeting yesterday between Zaniolo’s agent and the Roma management which gave important updates regarding his future. In fact, they add that the winger is now close to an agreement with the Giallorossi over an extension until 2026 with a pay rise to €4.5m net per season.

His sale remains increasingly unlikely, because although Milan and Juventus are watching the evolution of the issue with interest, Roma have made it clear that they would not accept less than €55-60m to sell Zaniolo.

This is a figure that the clubs have no intention of shelling out while the player is not too keen about the idea of moving abroad and as such his stay in the Italian capital looks set to be prolonged.

  1. That’s too bad for his career. I feel if he stays at Roma he’ll do well but that’s all. If he came to Milan at this point where the sky is the limit, he could have had a life changing move and become a star (if he stayed healthy that is). Here’s to hoping they lower their demands to 30-40m but seems unlikely. Too bad for Zaniolo. Was hoping him and CDK would come in. With those 2 and Leao it has to be the most exciting attack around (still would need a great striker though)

  2. Would love to see him at Milan but Roma trajectory is on the up . Would of love to see another Italian included in Milan’s line up
Ex inter players also do great things with us
