The match will be huge in the context of both teams trying to qualify for the Champions League. Smalling has been a key player for Roma this season and his absence will surely be felt by the Giallorossi.
The Englishman was taken off with an injury in the Europa League quarter-final victory over Feyenoord on Thursday night and he seems set to miss at least a chunk of games, which will include the one against Milan.
Mourinho will likely need to start with Marash Kumbulla in defence as he is the natural replacement.
