CorSera: Messias ready for first Milan start after showing great desire and enthusiasm

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has chosen to give a first start to Junior Messias tonight against Genoa, according to a report.

The Rossoneri will look to bounce back in an emphatic way after two consecutive league defeats against Fiorentina and Sassuolo, hoping to keep the gap from Inter and Atalanta below them who have begun to breathe down their necks somewhat.

This morning’s edition of the newspaper il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes that the Messias is ready for his first game as a starter with the Milan shirt. After having won the match in Madrid against Atletico and having looked bright off the bench against Sassuolo, the Brazilian will have an opportunity tonight from the first minute.

Messias has shown great desire and enthusiasm, and now he will have to prove on the pitch that he can be more than just a back-up, perhaps pushing for more regular starts from today onwards.
