Watch: Thumping Messias shot gives Milan the lead at Monza

By Euan Burns -

Junior Messias gave AC Milan a crucial lead in the first half against Monza on Saturday night with a shot from the edge of the box.

The Brazilian turned and hit the bouncing ball on the swivel on the half hour mark after the Rossoneri had created a couple of very good opportunities for Rafael Leao and Fikayo Tomori.

The goal was coming on the balance of play and it was a vindication of Stefano Pioli’s decision to start Messias.

      1. You’re delusional as fvck if you think it needs to be a special player to scored a goal and bring three points for the team.

        Stop playing video games kiddo.

  1. Play Aster! We need to integrate our young players – because that is all we have. Adli as well. If we cannot play them against teams like Monza, they will never see the pitch.

    1. Please stop with playing this and that player.

And Monza played really solid. They not lost a single match this year until Milan beat them.
