Junior Messias returned to partial group training at Milanello on Tuesday afternoon which means he could be back in the team for the match against Empoli on Friday, a report claims.
As has been reported by Sky Sport (via Milan News), the Brazilian winger did not do the entire session with the Milan squad but he did do a section of it which represents progress.
That means that when Milan host Empoli at San Siro on Friday night in a Serie A weekend that looks different to most thanks to Easter, the winger is likely to be in the squad.
It is unlikely that he will be starting the game even if Stefano Pioli does decide to stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation that he reverted to for the 4-0 win away at Napoli on Sunday.
The performances of Brahim Diaz in the first half and Alexis Saelemaekers in the second half means that Pioli will go with one of those two on the right wing.
