The reason for the delay in negotiations over the Charles De Ketelaere signing could well have been because AC Milan attempted a double deal, a report claims.
According to the latest from TMW, Milan have managed to get the deal over the line for De Ketelaere after weeks of talks and a lot of back and forth in the negotiations. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have finally got their man and within the next couple of days the 21-year-old playmaker should be a new Rossoneri player.

However, some interesting background has emerged. As per the source, Milan also tried to sign Noah Mbamba – a 17-year-old central midfielder with big potential – in a package deal involving De Ketelaere.
Milan offered €40m to sign them both but given that Mbamba is already considered one of the most promising talents on the European scene, they rejected any idea of him being involved for a few million extra.
