MN: Milan expected to accelerate for double deal during international break

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan should use the international break to work on a double deal with Lille for Sven Botman and Renato Sanches, a report claims.

MilanNews report how Milan and Botman’s agents have kept talks alive in the past few weeks and there were discussions just before the second leg of their Champions League last 16 game against Chelsea. The time has come to press on the accelerator and agree on the final terms ahead of the summer.

The excellent relations between Milan and Lille are a card that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara can use to try and close for Botman at around €25m plus bonuses, with the management convinced that he would complete the defensive department with his qualities.

There will be more talks about Renato Sanches too and the feeling is that the negotiations between the two clubs are ahead of the discussions between Milan and the player, who got injured again recently and has high economic demands. That said, his technical value and the need to replace Kessie is not in dispute.
