AC Milan are very close to agreeing a deal with FC Barcelona over the signing of full-back Sergino Dest, according to a report.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Milan are in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Sergiño Dest from Barcelona with negotiations very much concrete. It will be a loan with an option to buy and not an obligation.
If the Rossoneri were to make his arrival permanent next summer then the USA international would sign until 2025. Villarreal were heavily linked but Dest has no agreement with them and Milan are pushing to complete the deal.

What’s people obsession with back 3? Milan only under Zacceroni played with back 3.
If Milan moves to back 3 than Leao will have to learn how to play as a striker closer to the goal, he can’t hug the side line anymore because he would be in Theo’s way even more than he is now.
Have people noticed that Theo plays better when Rebic is at the Rw. That’s because Ante can actually read the game and move based on Theo movements, unlike Leao who acts like he is glued to the sideline. Also , I think Theo trust Rebic that if he over commit himself offensively and turn the ball over, that Ante will run back and cover for him. He doesn’t trust Leao
Never been a fan of back 3 and I doubt Pioli will do it, he might play with 433 but he isn’t doing that drastic change to back 3.
Plus when attacking, Theo plays so far ahead that Milan in essence is in back 3 with Calabria staying back.

Ok. They got a 16 year old a 19 year old and a 20 year old. That’s great if we are fielding an under 21 team. Not really going to help win now. Sanchez, Botman or Ziyech would have helped. Dest will be good if it happens but what they really needed was an elite midfielder to replace Kessie, and of course a RW.

That is such an ignorant, idiotic and ridiculous comment to put Dest in that group. Would you make the U21 comment when Haaland or Mbappe were signed by a team when they were 20? Of course Dest isn’t at the level of those 2 players who are maybe the 2 best in the world; but the fact is, Dest has already played at a high level for Barcelona and USMNT. He is accomplished.
Also, picking up boys from the bundesliga (even if it’s not Bayern or Dortmund), is nothing to sneeze at. It’s a great league and Thiaw and Vranckx both played well there. FIRst of all I wasn’t referring to Dest. If you read my comment you would see that I said he would be a good move and would help the team. I was referring to Thiaw, Vranckx and the other 16 year old kid they signed, which aren’t going to help them compete this season. If you think losing Kessie and adding Vranckx doesn’t make your midfield worse than you don’t know very much. Get back to me and let me know how much Thiaw and Vranckx contribute to the team this year.
Fair enough… I thought you were talking about Dest; however, part of the project must continue to be signing these young players at reasonable fees and hoping that we have a good hit rate w/ their development into contributing players.
We signed Kalulu, Tomori, Bennacer and not a lot was expected of those guys. Even Theo who came from Madrid, we didn’t know he’d blossom into one of the best left backs on the planet. Leao too.
It’s the reality of our financial situation compared to all Premier League teams or PSG that we can’t just go out and get ready-made, proven players who are 25 to 28 years old in their prime — they’re just too expensive. We need to keep building and can’t expect that just because we won the Scudetto last year that all of a sudden we can change the project into a spending spree as if we are PSG or Man City.
And no, I don’t think Vranckx right now is better than Kessie; but we did get CDK and he is clearly improving our CAM position and I actually like Adli a lot too. Dest and Origi were also both good pickups. I’m not sure yet on Pobega.

For the laat point, can’t get around my head about pobega too. Maybe he needs some time. I never got the rhythm of his playing style, i’m not saying his bad, but i’m not sure his good either. Confused is what i am.
Pobega was out for over a month and hasn’t played enough with his new teammates. He’s only settling in and once done, he’ll improve and return to his level. Don’t worry. 🙂
Already done deal . Dest have speed,drible ,good pass too . He will be good for RB/RWB/RW . The downside are his bad defense atribute but we dont care about that with our high defense line & high press
