AC Milan want to announce the Ismael Bennacer contract renewal to the fans in the coming days, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the fans will not have to wait too long to see the Algerian midfielder signing his new contract with the management at his side.
It is a negotiation that has been ongoing for many months and at certain points, it seemed like Bennacer could be destined to leave the club.
He then changed his agent and since then, talks have progressed more smoothly and now an agreement has been found that will see him earn around €4 million per season until at least 2027.
His current deal will expire in June 2024, meaning that Milan were at risk of losing him for a fee lower than his actual value.
There is also going to be a €50 million release clause for foreign clubs which is active from 2024 onwards.
Thank god – hopefully more Algerian magic in the shape of Aouar will join him.
