Reports: Milan among teams alerted as Chelsea look to offload €47m winger

AC Milan have been alerted to a potential mercato opportunity involving an out-of-favour Chelsea winger, Alejandro Garnacho.

Ahead of the mercato, Milan have been linked with plenty of names and they will continue to be in the next few weeks. However, whether they take any action depends on the finances available to them in the next few months.

Without Champions League football, it seems difficult to see any stars arriving without sacrifices being made. Though if opportunities were to arise, perhaps they may be given more consideration than others.

Garnacho could head to Serie A

As AS Roma Live relays from Simon Philips, Chelsea are already considering selling Garnacho, despite buying the Argentinian winger last summer. Indeed, he has failed to impress, so he will be put on the mercato after only 12 months.

He is seen as a potential opportunity by Napoli, Juventus, Roma and Milan, so a move to Italy could well be on the cards. Though the Partenopei have been interested since last summer, so they may have the advantage currently.

Considering he moved to Chelsea for €47 million, if the Blues are seeking that full amount back, a move to Italy becomes much, much more difficult. Especially if the Rossoneri are interested in making a move.

  1. Terrible attitude and high wages. No thanks. Harry Wilson of Fulham on a free transfer would be good buy. He had a great season and is capable of playing multiple positions. He wouldnt look out of place for Milan rebuild either.

    1. Great suggestion re: Wilson.

So we might dump two solid wingers (both out of position in the previous administration’s line up) for an unhappy, unproven one? Strange article. Winger is the last of our needs.

  2. burn that alert down. it only goes off on wrong players just let it stay silent…

Garnacho is trash plain and simple

  3. Slap “without Champions League money” in there and we can be linked with any player just for the sake of it

  4. Yes, we should sign Garnacho with a high transfer fee, high wages, and a poor attitude. It’s not like Lauriente and Rowe are proven affordable Serie A options. It’s not like Pulisic and Nkunku can play at left wing. It’s not like we have promising youngsters like Cisse, Chaka Traore, and Sia. Normally I wouldn’t entertain such news, but under Cardinale, this level of stupidity is possible.

  5. No Grinta, so I doubt it. Wouldn’t make sense either, he’s on a massive deal with Chelsea. If Ragnick comes we will keep Nkunku as he is a student of the Ragnick Gegenpress at Red Bull, it’s how he won the Bundesliga golden boot after all

  6. If this Garnacho come at club i will not watch Milan at all and hope we go to seria B. Nobody normal not buy Garnacho. He dont know play and make problems at every club were he play.
Again if he come here i hope we relegate and lose all games

    1. Well put Byte. Fabri, he has grinta, it is just the stupid kind. He get angry and does something stupid, sort of like Jimenez.

  7. Being so for real when I say I would not watch a single game until he was gone from my club again
