Another report has confirmed that AC Milan are ready to try and sign Robert Lewandowski on a free transfer next year.
In the past few weeks there has been a lot of speculation linking Milan with a move for Lewandowski, whose deal with Barcelona expires at the end of the current season. While with the Polish national team, the striker did little to dampen the rumours, admitting to uncertainty over his future.

Lewandowski to Milan: Further confirmations
According to Sky, Milan are ‘preparing for an ambitious summer’ and will try for Lewandowski. However, it must be said that the former Bayern Munich man ‘is seriously considering retirement’ if the Catalan club do not offer him an extension.
This situation immediately attracted the attention of several major European clubs, as well as teams from Saudi Arabia, ready to make huge offers. The Milan project ‘seems to appeal’ to the 37-year-old, who hasn’t ruled out a spell in Serie A before hanging up his boots.
Milan’s sporting director Igli Tare recently approached Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi to discuss a possible salary structure compatible with the Rossoneri’s finances. The club want to repeat the Olivier Giroud coup; i.e. someone with experience who provides guaranteed goals.
Zlatan Ibrahimović is ‘strongly pushing’ for this transfer. The Swede believes that Lewandowski perfectly embodies the club’s values and could serve as a role model for the younger generation of Milan players, much like his own role in recent years.
No agreement has been reached yet, and discussions are only just beginning. Milan’s project – combined with the possibility of continuing to compete in the Champions League within a stable and competitive environment – is particularly appealing to Lewandowski.
I just wish we could get him already by January but that seems to be completely out of the question due to his salary and wishes of staying at the bare minimum for the remainder of the season. Either him or Vlahovic joining us would make me really happy though.
Getting Lewa, or Icardi is like kicking the can down the road. It solves nothing long term. Always a bandaid for a shark bite.
Sell Santi. Loan out Nkunku for a season in Italy somewhere. Bring in someone worthy of the shirt, requiring a significant investment. If not, at least try for Vlahovic, since Allegri wanted him. Can’t do worse than him.
I don’t think vlahovic still has that Fiorentina spark in him, he is not the answer, same goes for Icardi, Lewandowski may be, but not a permanent solution and at 37 he is almost done.
