Report names the three players Milan want in 2023 to take squad to the next level

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan management are lining up three potential signings to try and keep building on the squad that has been assembled, a report claims.

According to Fichajes.net, Milan have the objective of remaining one of the best teams in Italy and are also seeking to go further in the Champions League, with three specific targets for the next summer transfer market having emerged.

The first is Naby Keita, whose contract with Liverpool ends in the summer of 2023 and he has no intention of renewing it because Jürgen Klopp is not giving him much playing time. He appeals to Milan as a replacement for Franck Kessie that did not arrive in the summer, and because he is a free agent.

The second target is Xavi Simons. The Dutchman has been one of the sensations at the start of the season in European football and is one of the main stars for PSV. He can play both as a false 9 and as a playmaker, and he fits perfectly with Pioli’s ideas and with the club’s project.

Finally there is Marco Asensio whose deal with Real Madrid runs out in the summer of 2023 and everything seems to indicate that he will leave the Santiago Bernabéu to join another great European club where he will get more playing time. The Rossoneri see him as the ideal man to reinforce the right wing.

  1. Naby Keita makes 7 mil a year at Liverpool. Is he willing to cut his salary to 4 mil? Plus he has often been injured.
Xavy Simons just transferred to PSV and any sale will cost a lot more than what Milan will be willing to pay, plus PSG has a buy back clause on him.
Lastly, Asensio was reported that he wants 6 mil a season salary and if Milan isn’t willing to pay Leao that, they certainly won’t pay it to Asensio.
All 3 will probably have a bunch of teams after them, especially Keita and Asesnsio who are free agents. Teams that can pay much more in salary than Milan can.
Milan needs to look elsewhere for reinforcements. These 3 are not happening

  2. Milan should go no way near Keita. Ascensio is at that stage in his career where he might opt for a more lucrative contract and given what we know with the ongoing contract negotiations, Milan can’t afford him.

  3. Sure, just like they were going to get Botman, Sanchez and Zyech, right? They will sign a couple cheap 20 year olds that might be good in a couple years. That’s what Milan do now. Sad.

  4. The fact is that there is a 100% chance that Asensio will join another team but Milan. Stop with the BS stories. He’s NOT coming.

  5. Nuff with the b.u.l.l.s.h.i.t please! WE ALL KNOW MILAN IS NOT GOING TO GET THESE PLAYERS! Why not be different in your content providing, and make analysis on games. I’ll read that article any day than some rumor for clicks…
