AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are looking ahead to possible opportunities that could arise in the January window, and one of them is Douglas Luiz.
Aster Vranckx arrived at Milan right at the end of the summer mercato on a loan with option to buy deal from VfL Wolfsburg, but he must of course earn his permanent move and there will always be options kept open to strengthen the midfield.
Il Milanista reports that Douglas Luiz was also mentioned in previous weeks as a target. The Brazilian was proposed to Milan by his entourage who, in turn, met the management at the Casa Milan headquarters.
The high price (€25m or more) meant that the deal stalled before it was able to become advanced, but Douglas Luiz could represent an opportunity for the future as he has a contract expiring next June and the discussions over an extension with the Aston Villa are not moving forward.
The player is increasingly attracted to the idea of a change of scenery and being a free transfer can help him choose his next destination. Milan continue to follow Douglas Luiz with interest and the Rossoneri would be a more than welcome destination, but there are other teams too.
Likely he stays in PL given Arsenal are after him, they can afford to pay him way more in wages. Good player but not a big miss for us, especially if Vranckx can develop.

he would be great option in defense with fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu as starting right back it would be the best defense in europe ,

we could’ve got Ousmane Dembele as free agent he would’ve been perfect player in the left wings
our attack would’ve been scary to play against with Leao and Giroud , what waste opportunity we had
Dembele makes 12 mil a year salary at Barca. There was never an opportunity for Milan to sign him.
Skriniar will also demand at least 6 mil a year salary and he is one of those that will never move from Inter to Milan
Inter did us a favour in convince the snake Hakan to move.
Without him, Milan are the Champions of Italy and growing stronger by the day.
In the case of Milan SKRINAR, it will be massive coup if Milan can get him for free.
He will probably settle in epl with other team……last time I heard he is heavily linked and agreed term with other epl club
Chelsea want Skriniar, but I agree we should move for him. He has the one thing we lack in defence – height.
