Tuttosport: Milan consider selling 2021 summer signing and replacing him with Genoa star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to upgrade their squad this summer and one of the positions they will target is left-back, hoping to find a new deputy to Theo Hernandez.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports how Fodé Ballo-Tourè has not convinced this season and for this reason he could leave the club less than a year after his arrival from Monaco, with the management already on the hunt for his potential replacement.

If the Senegal international were to depart, the Rossoneri would indeed look for a new deputy to Theo and Andrea Cambiaso of Genoa is very much admired for this role. However, Juventus, Inter and Napoli are also interested in signing him.

The 22-year-old Cambiaso is having an impressive season in another difficult year for Genoa as he has 5 goal contributions in 25 league games including 1 goal and 4 assists playing as both a full-back and as a wing-back.

  1. We just saw Italy get eliminated from the WC for the second time running because they have no depth (player development). As a Milan fan I think he would be a great backup for Theo, as a Italy/Serie A fan Cambiaso should go to a mid-table club that will offer him the starting job so he can continue to develop.
