CorSport: Milan hoping to sell defender and sign 21-year-old Empoli starlet as replacement

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in the market for a new left-back as they have not been convinced by Fode Ballo-Toure this season, according to a report.

Il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that Ballo-Touré has not earned the trust of head coach Stefano Pioli as he is yet to make an appearance for the club in 2022, and when Theo Hernandez was out due to suspension he even preferred Alessandro Florenzi on his less natural left side rather than playing the Senegal international.

The Rossoneri management are trying to sell him in the summer after what will be just one season at the club and in the event that the former Monaco player were to leave, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara like the idea of a domestic replacement.

The paper adds that Fabiano Parisi of Empoli, who has made 20 appearances across the league and cup this season and at 21 years of age represents a profile who can grow and learn from Theo.
