AC Milan have been dealt a blow as Fodé Ballo-Touré has picked up an injury at the African Cup of Nations, according to a report.
Goals from Sadio Mané in the 53rd minute and Dieng in the 92nd minute meant that Senegal beat Cape Verde and qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals where they will face the winner of the match between Mali and Equatorial Guinea.
However, Calciomercato.com report that Ballo-Toure managed just a few minutes on the pitch as he came on in the 82nd minute at left-back and was forced off in the last minute of the game due to a muscle injury in his groin.
It is not ideal for Milan given that they currently have Theo Hernandez one yellow card away from a one-game suspension in Serie A, while the former Monaco and Lille defender will also now have his return to Italy being delayed.
