AC Milan are still in the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan N’Dicka who is set to become a free agent in a few days, a report claims.
According to German outlet SPORT1 (via Football365), Barcelona are the latest team to become ‘seriously interested’ in signing N’Dicka, given that at present he would be available on a free transfer. However, the source do add that Frankfurt still ‘have a chance’ of renewing his deal, albeit ‘slim’.
The 23-year-old seems to want to try a new experience and his exploits in the Bundesliga and in Eintracht’s Europa League win last season have attracted the interest of several other top European clubs. Arsenal, Juventus and ‘above all’ Milan ‘have their eyes’ on N’Dicka, who can play centre-back and left-back.
Milan currently have Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu, Simon Kjaer, Matteo Gabbia and Malick Thiaw on their books but there are doubts over the future of Kjaer after his long-term injury and Gabbia continues to be linked with an exit, so additional cover could be sought.
