CM: Milan going head-to-head with Barcelona for Internacional striker compared to Pato

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have not given up on the idea of signing Yuri Alberto from Internacional as their centre-forward for the future, but they face competition from Barcelona.

The 20-year-old Alberto has 30 goals in 100 games for Internacional and really broke through in the last season as he scored 12 times in the league, and the Rossoneri were linked with a move for the Brazilian during the summer transfer window when they were tipped to sign a young centre-forward.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan have been following him for some time with scouts observing his developments in Porto Alegre. The Rossoneri management are evaluating him for the upcoming summer window given Zlatan Ibrahimovic is 40 and Olivier Giroud is 35, but they are not alone.

Barcelona have also initiated contacts with the striker, who has been compared to Alexandro Pato, and could accelerate immediately if Ousmane Dembelé does not renew and gets sold.
