AC Milan are ready to go back in for Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo, a report in Spain claims, but there is strong competition.
The former Toulouse starlet joined Schalke 04 on loan with an options to buy set at €25million, a figure considered challenging in times of recession due to Coronavirus.
Before landing in the Bundesliga though, Todibo was very close to joining Milan. The Rossoneri had reached a total agreement with Barcelona and there was also an agreement with the player’s entourage, before he chose Gelsenkirchen over Italy.
According to the latest from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo – as cited by MilanNews – Todibo is at the centre of numerous mercato rumours and Barcelona have set their price for his departure.
The Catalan side intend to collect €25million from the sale of the Frenchman regardless of his destination, the same amount as Schalke’s option. In Serie A the player is wanted by Inter, Milan and Juventus, while in England there is Ancelotti’s Everton and Bayer Leverkusen could offer him a chance to stay in Germany.
