CorSport: Milan retain strong interest in 119-goal winger but may turn to other targets

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not giving up on signing Domenico Berardi from Sassuolo yet but they may have to turn to other targets unless their stance changes, a report claims.

Il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports how the Milan management are looking for reinforcements ahead of what will be another crucial season in the club’s project in 2022-23 and one that will hopefully bring more battles for trophies on multiple fronts.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are also probing the Italian market for domestic players who could strengthen the current options available to head coach Stefano Pioli, also because of the squad list requirements regarding home-grown and Italian academy players.

Berardi is a target and he hopes to leave Sassuolo in the coming months to try a new challenge, but a big discount from the Neroverdi would be needed, otherwise Milan would be forced to turn to other targets for the right wing.

The 27-year-old has 119 goals for Sassuolo plus 81 assists in 319 games for the club.

  1. If Berardi really wants a move he should push for one. Like Locatelli did. Push for a 2 year loan + obligation to buy.

    Otherwise let’s just get Lang.
