Massimiliano Allegri should have an extra option for the midfield on Tuesday night against Atalanta, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek back in training.

According to MilanNews, there is some negative news from Milanello: Pervis Estupinan will also miss the next league game at the Gewiss Stadium, having been forced to sit out of the matches against Fiorentina and Pisa too.

The Ecuador international – who injured his ankle during the break in a game against the United States – also completed a personal training session today. He will therefore not be available to Max Allegri for the trip to Bergamo.

There’s good news, however, regarding Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The English midfielder has returned to training with the team as of Sunday, and should therefore be in the matchday squad.

The English midfielder missed the Rossoneri’s last two matches due to feeling some muscular discomfort, which he sustained in the final training session before the Fiorentina match.

Given that Milan did not have a midfield option on the bench for the Pisa game barring the teenager Emanuele Sala, it certainly eases the emergency a bit in that regard, while waiting for Ardon Jashari and Adrien Rabiot to come back too.

  1. Good, Milan needs the depth of options. RLC is versatile and can fill in a lot of gaps. Not having Rabiot and Jashari available leaves Allegri short of options.

  2. He’ll play one game the get fatigued and miss another month after that given his history. Need to move on from him and get a more reliable option.
