Giornale: Milan ready to launch one final push to sign Botman from Lille

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan plan to make one final bid to land Sven Botman before the January transfer window closes, according to a report.

A number of sources are reporting that Botman is Milan’s number one target to come in and reinforce the defensive department during the January transfer window but so far there is nothing to suggest that they have got very far in talks over the Dutchman with the Ligue 1 champions putting up a firm wall.

According to Il Giornale (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara know it will not be easy to close a deal for Botman in this mercato but they will try until the end to sign him.

In the coming days the Rossoneri will in fact make a new attempt to get the 21-year-old, who they have decided has all the pre-requisites to come in and not only be a long-term part of the plans but also to make a big impact immediately.

  1. Botman is great but we’re wasting money. 30m… rather than renewing Romagnoli… signing Botman won’t bring a scudetto. A striker, RW, AM will.

  2. Wasted time and effort. Zero chance of getting him now.

And as Zoro Caloro said above: Signing Botman won’t bring the scudetto. A proper RW with goal scoring abilities & creativity might.
