CM: Milan to launch a new attempt for Lille defender Botman with two loans on hold

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to make a new attempt to sign Sven Botman from Lille because they do not believe the door to be totally closed, according to a report.

According to the latest from Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, the Milan management would prefer to make an investment in January rather than plug the gap in their defensive department with a loan operation.

In n the next few hours the Rossoneri will make a new attempt to land Botman because Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara still believe in the possibility of signing the Dutchman. If they are unsuccessful, the alternatives are Abdou Diallo of PSG and Japhet Tanganga of Spurs.

On Sky Italia last night (via MilanNews) Gianluca Di Marzio spoke about the whole Botman saga. Among other things, he stated that Milan are waiting on closing any other operations because they feel that they still have a slight chance of signing the 21-year-old.
