MN: Why Milan cannot be satisfied despite agreeing renewal with Emirates

By Oliver Fisher -

The official communication arrived yesterday regarding the extension of the agreement between AC Milan and Emirates as Official Airline Partner and Principal Partner.

According to MilanNews, the new agreement should last three years, guaranteeing the Rossoneri around €30m per year plus bonuses per season for a total of between €90-105m. The amount has therefore been doubled compared to the last contract, which confirms Milan’s growth in many aspects.

It stands as a symbol of the virtuous circle in which the club are moving at the moment, which has been brought about by better results on the field which subsequently brings in more revenue to invest in the squad to improve results further.

The more you win, the more you get and it is for this reason that Milan cannot be satisfied with the Scudetto they won last season, as Maldini said: “Naturally we’re talking about Milan and we can’t be satisfied with having won a Scudetto, we have to be a little more ambitious.”

No crazy spending will occur but the line of targeted and shrewd investments will continue in order to give Stefano Pioli an increasingly competitive team and adapted to his idea of the game.

A lot will depend on the renewal of the most important players (Maignan, Tomori, Tonali, Theo Hernandez have already extended), while the aim from January is to get Leao, Bennacer and Giroud to pen new terms too.

  1. Winning scudetto and champions league would be great. But remember, as long as Milan doesn’t have their own stadium, they can’t increase their salary cap nor they can afford to buy expensives top players with their current financial.

  2. Heyy forzamilan i agree milan is a team that just belongs in the champions league! But having their own stadium will not increase the income the income’s per game are for the clubs themselves only other things like musea merchandise they have to split but the benefit about this is thay they also split the bills ac milan and that other club are the 2 topclubs with the lowest stadium bills

If you put them together this is more beneficial than 1 stadium with a little more income but way higher amounts

    1. “But having their own stadium will not increase the income”

Aaaand there goes all credibility out the window. I stopped reading here.
