Tuttosport: Castillejo stuck at Milan until the summer as Valencia opt for Spurs winger

By Oliver Fisher -

It is likely to be a quiet deadline day for AC Milan not just from the point of view of signings but also potential sales too, with Samu Castillejo now reportedly set to stay.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports that Castillejo will remain with the Rossoneri until the summer unless there are some real surprises before today’s 19:00 CET deadline, because the deal that was in the pipeline with Valencia has collapsed.

The Spanish club were interested in the 27-year-old winger, but in the end they decided to focus on signing Tottenham’s Bryan Gil, who became available because the London club decided to go for Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus.

Castillejo therefore is destined to remain at Milanello at least until the end of the season which will be frustrating for the management given that he is not a part of Stefano Pioli’s plans, and in the summer he will be one year from contract expiry.

  1. This guy is a really pain in the ass. Salemakers will be next him ,u will see. They are both useless and play at the same level and same style.

  2. He is not stuck in Milan, he actually likes it here. He has bigger paycheck than anyone else is willing to offer. Why would he want to leave?

Valencia wanted to sign him, god knows why, everything was agreed with Milan but Casti wanted more money than he was already getting here. He is the reason loan failed.

So once and for all, Casti is not stuck at Milan, Milan is actually stuck with Casti.
