Journalist claims Milan are targeting statement double free transfer swoop

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have registered an interest in signing two big name players on free transfers ahead of next season, according to one journalist.

Ekrem Konur is claiming that Milan are monitoring the situation of Angel Di Maria who appears destined to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season when his contract with them expires.

Konur told us that Di Maria wants a contract until 2025 with his new club – therefore a three-year deal that would take him to 37 years of age – and Juventus met him but Di Maria wants to see all offers on the table.

So far there has been no clear indication of the salary demands of the Argentine but what is known is that he will have to take a pay cut compared to what he currently earns at PSG.

He also adds that Milan are competing with Juventus, Real Madrid, PSG and Barcelona to sign Antonio Rüdiger whose deal with Chelsea runs out at the end of the current campaign.

The journalist told us that Milan are looking for reinforcements to the defence and were offered the Germany international by his entourage, but have not made a decision yet, though they will be open to a free transfer like that if the conditions are right.
