GdS: Milan retain interest in Chelsea winger but Potter has a big say in his future

By Oliver Fisher -

Despite having failed to sign him for two summer windows in a row, AC Milan remain interested in signing Hakim Ziyech for Chelsea, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have published a report which speaks about the possible business that could occur between Milan and Chelsea as early as the January window, given that the Premier League side are known to be keen on signing Rafael Leao.

The paper states that if the Rossoneri were to make no significant process on the renewal of the Portuguese winger then they would be forced to consider potentially selling him in order to ensure he does not leave in a cut-price deal nearer the 2024 expiry of his contract.

Christian Pulisic is a name that the Milan management like, but separate to the Leao situation La Gazzetta writes that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara remain admirers of Ziyech for the right wing role.

Under Thomas Tuchel he found little playing time, but now that the Blues have changed coaches to Graham Potter, his situation may change.
