Milan coach Pioli feels ‘okay’ with his options on the right wing

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli has said that he feels ‘okay’ with his options on the right ring this season following the win over Bologna on Saturday night.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia after the match, as was reported by Milan News, Pioli discussed an area of the squad that many have felt needs to be upgraded this summer.

Milan were linked for a very long time with Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech to come in and bring more quality to the right side of Milan’s attack.

It now seems highly unlikely that a new attacker will be joining given Pioli has said that he is content with having Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias rotating in that position.

“I’m delighted with Messias and Saelemaekers. We have our own balances that require the winger to try to be dangerous but do a dirty job. Always be balanced, on the right I feel okay with the players I have,” Pioli said.

The fact that Charles De Ketelaere could play on the right if it were needed is likely part of why Milan have decided to focus on a new defender and midfielder in the final days of the window.
