AC Milan are now very confident that they will complete the signing of Sven Botman from Lille once the summer transfer window opens, a report claims.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are getting closer to fully sealing the Botman deal with Lille as contacts in the last few hours have produced the desired results. We are moving towards an agreement at €30m plus bonuses to reach a maximum of €33m, but there is one thing to secure first.
The report claims that the Rossoneri management are waiting for mathematical qualification for the next Champions League to be secured and then they will define the agreement with the player and eventually put pen to paper.
Botman had several offers on the table, mainly from Premier League clubs, but the pitch from Paolo Maldini regarding Milan’s project and the Dutchman’s role in it made the difference, as well as the presence of his friend Mike Maignan.
