AC Milan are ‘convinced’ that they will be able to meet the requests of Ismael Bennacer and extend his deal, a report claims.
Sky have published a report stating that significant interest is expected in Bennacer if Milan are unable to extend his contract by the summer transfer window, but optimism is filtering regarding the outcome of the negotiation.
The figures will be much lower than those involved in the Rafael Leao talks, but Milan are ‘convinced’ they will be able to satisfy the Algeria international with an agreement that may not exceed €3.5m net per season.
It would be an important step for the club given the importance of Bennacer in the project and in Stefano Pioli’s tactical plans, while the interest of top European clubs will no doubt provoke a sense of urgency from directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to get things wrapped up as soon as possible.
IF this article is true – why are we lowballing this guy??? After losing Kessie we cannot gamble and risk losing Benny for 500k. Insane. Give him the 4M he wants and end this nonsense. We have zero leverage to nickel and dime him at this point. Terrible
The last news from Di Marzio said Milan did offered him 4 million after meeting with his agent. But who knows, maybe Bennacer wants more than 4, maybe 8 or 10 millions. His agent probably think if Leao ask 7 millions then why Bennacer, an important player, should stay at 4 million? He can sell Bennacer to other clubs too since he’s a hot comodity.
