AC Milan are hoping to be able to announce the renewal of Ismael Bennacer’s contract this week, according to a report.
In recent weeks, the Milan management have focused on renewing some of the key parts of the project, with Ismael Bennacer and Rafael Leao top of the pile. According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Algerian midfielder should soon be ticked off.
Thursday should be the day that Bennacer signs his contract as everything seems ready now, but the official announcement has been postponed since tomorrow Milan will be involved in the Coppa Italia against Torino.
An agreement between the parties has now been found, with the player extending until 2027 and earning €4m net per season. The €50m release clause will be kept in the new contract, which however can only be activated starting from the summer of 2024, in the first 10-15 days of July and in a single instalment.
