PM: Milan could exploit the doubts of Juventus to sign striker for €25-30m

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are tempted by the idea of making a move for Alvaro Morata who should leave Juventus once his loan there is over, a report claims.

According to PianetaMilan, Juventus would have to pay €35m to sign Morata permanently from Atletico Madrid this summer. The agreement reached back in 2020 was a €10m loan with option to buy for €45m, but Juve extended that by a year for another €10m and the option to buy was reduced by the same amount.

The €35m needed to sign the Spaniard permanently is considered too high by the Bianconeri, but they would like to keep him due to the tactical importance he has held in recent months, though they only want to part with €20m for the 29-year-old, who has 9 league goals this season.

This is where Milan come into play, who seem ready to exploit the first uncertainties in the event they fail to buy him from Atleti. The LaLiga giants could grant a discount to close a sale at around €25-30m, which Milan can afford in their pursuit of a reliable centre-forward.

  1. I don’t believe this article at all – WHY would we look at a 29 year old half good player – it doesn’t really align with our strategy or project. I call BS on this.

  2. Milan should never buy a player who played for juve recent times we always got players who are not good one way or other…

  3. Spanish Kalinic? No way!

Morata is one of those players that makes you wonder how he has played for these big club’s. He is painfully average. It gives you a headache thinking about it.

He must have a great marketing team. So average….

  4. This is the truly over Rated and over pay salary player. It is still mystery why he can play for Real Madrid,Chelsea,Atletico Madrid and rubentus. His goal only few every season and cannot play regularly as starter
