GdS: Milan evaluating future of midfielder after limited game time

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are evaluating the future of Belgian midfielder Aster Vranckx in light of him not getting very much time on the pitch from Stefano Pioli since joining the club, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), the midfielder is currently on loan in Italy from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, but he has only played 153 minutes on the pitch for the Rossoneri.

For that reason, there appears to be little sense in paying Wolfsburg a transfer fee to make the deal permanent in the summer, something they do have the option to do.

Unless the club decide that with other departures he is worth keeping at the club with the potential to improve next season, it is hard to imagine his spell at Milan not being just one season.

He is low down in the pecking order of midfielders and is seemingly below both Tommaso Pobega and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

  1. if we would have brought in enzo fernandes last year how many minutes on the pitch u think? buy aster, big room to develope

  2. Send him back to Wolfsburg.
For 12 mil you can get much a better midfielder.
He did nothing this year but just proved why he wasn’t part of Wolfsburg plans for the future

  3. Pioli is just bad with player integration and deployment and these players have been victims of his inefficiency. It’s a pity we never got to really know what he can and cannot do, who knows if he might have been what we wanted but we’d never know.
