GdS: Milan rivalling Everton and Brentford for Spurs academy product

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in the market for a new centre-back after missing out on Sven Botman and they are targeting a Spurs defender, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), Japhet Tanganga is a name that has come back into fashion for the Rossoneri management after they tried to sign him during the January transfer window following Simon Kjaer’s season-ending injury in December.

Antonio Conte is ready to let the 23-year-old leave after an unfortunate season in which Tanganga was out from February onwards with a knee injury. Of course any interested team will need to carefully check the physical condition of Englishman.

The paper confirms Milan’s interest in exploring a deal but adds that Premier League duo Everton and Brentford are also keen. The Rossoneri would like to sign him on loan but the aforementioned duo could offer a permanent deal which may sway Spurs.
