Tuttosport: Milan eye Lens star with 9 goals this season as Renato Sanches alternative

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan may have to look for alternative targets to Renato Sanches because of the costs involved in the operation, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Sven Botman is the number one target for the centre-back role to replace the outgoing Alessio Romagnoli and Renato Sanches is the man they want for the midfield, but both would require a large economic outlay.

That is why Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are still monitoring Seko Fofana of RC Lens, a player who has a past in Italy with Udinese. Before landing in France in the summer of 2020, the Ivorian midfielder was also often linked with Milan and now his name could come back into fashion also because he is having a great season.

When including Ligue 1 and the French Cup, Fofana has collected 32 appearances and has scored 9 goals playing from a central midfield role, showing just how effective he can be.

  1. Good option, already with Serie A experience.
Always liked him in Udinese; strong and box to box, needed a little work on passing
