AC Milan are one of five clubs that are ready to make an offer to striker Robert Lewandowski, according to a report from Spain.
Milan decided to invest in Christopher Nkunku last summer as he arrived from Chelsea for close to €40m, but he didn’t fix the issue of needing a pure striker in the squad. Niclas Füllkrug therefore came in January on loan with option to buy, but the No.9 role remains a question mark.
Milan still in for Lewa
According to Mundo Deportivo, Robert Lewandowski’s deal is expiring at the end of the season and this has alerted a number of different clubs. The Poland international, for his part, is ‘approaching his future with patience and perspective’.
In fact, the 37-year-old is ‘not expected to make a final decision until April’, when the club’s presidential elections have taken place. Then he will know if there is a renewal offer forthcoming, and if so how much will be on the table.
The report adds: “Sources close to the Polish forward indicate that Lewandowski has five serious proposals to continue his career outside Camp Nou.” One of them is from the Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer.

Lewandowski’s wife Anna ‘recently traveled to Chicago for business reasons’, with his family getting a look at the city. However, there are four other options: Milan, Atlético Madrid, Fenerbahçe and clubs from Saudi Arabia have ’emerged as potential destinations’.
The links with the other clubs ‘appear less advanced at this stage’ as per Mundo Deportivo, but for the former Bayern man financial incentives are ‘no longer the decisive factor’. Instead, he is looking for ‘stability, sporting relevance, and family well-being’.
Staying at Barcelona ‘remains his preferred option’ but he is waiting to see what they offer. Milan meanwhile have already welcomed a champion at the end of his career, signing Luka Modric last summer.

If we get Lewandowski, in two seasons we’ll be doing this striker search all over again. Is this club going to keep changing strikers every other season in perpetuity?
most likely. It’s been years since we have had a long term striker
He is not coming. Chicago Fire is offering him a deal similar to what Messi got from Beckham. Ambassador role, investment in his wife’s company etc. Polish are a huge group in that area. There 1 million in Chicago alone. Apparently he is moving there this or next summer. He doesn’t mind part role if he stays extra year at Barca. He can add a few goals to CL total and they just got another house there and his wife started a new company.
Camarda will be ready to lead our line!!
Well it’s nothing new since 99/00 we’ve had Bierhoff, Shevchenko, Inzaghi, Weah, Jose Mari, Datti, Ganz, Comandini, Saudati, Simone, Moreno, Kutuzov, Rivaldo, Tommason, Borriello, Aubameyang, Matri, Piccolo, Bortolotto, Crespo, Gilardino, Vieri, Amoroso, Ardemagni, Oliveira, Ronaldo, Di Gennaro, Pato, Paloschi, Umunegbu, Huntelaar, Zlatan, Beretta, Cassano, Simone Ganz, Robinho, Maxi Lopez, Pazzini, Bojan, Balotelli, Petagna, Menez, Destro, Luis Adriano, Bacca, Lapadula, Cutrone, Kalinic, Borini, Andre Silva, Piatek, Higuain, Colombo, Rebic, Mandzukic, Giroud, Lazetic, Origi, Jovic, Gimenez, Camarda over the last 25 years. This is nothing new.
There is 0 chance he is coming now. ESPN said that Chicago Fire that is moving to new grounds offered him huge money and making him a face of the franchise. There is a million of polish people living in Chicago alone. Apparently they have a role for him as an ambassador as his wife would get investment to roll out her gyms in the US. The guy is 38. He is either going there this or next summer. It is unclear if they give him shares in the club but Inter Miami valuation went up when Messi joined.
