GdS: Roma risk and low buy-out option – Milan’s current thoughts on Florenzi’s future

By Oliver Fisher -

The Milan management have started to think about the future of their current loan players and among those is Alessandro Florenzi, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports how Florenzi – after a difficult start – has shown his value to this Milan squad both on a tactical level and on a leadership front too, given that he is one of the most experienced members of a young side and he has immense versatility.

He has been called the Rossoneri’s ‘Swiss Army Knife’ due to his ability to play either full-back role, as a central midfielder or as a right winger, and he has become an favourite of the fans. When Milan were without Davide Calabria they were not made to rue his absence, and he could be useful moving forward too.

The loan agreement with Roma also has a €4.5m option to buy included, and the report claims it is a deal that could go through without particular difficulties. However there is a risk that Florenzi – who is very attached to his boyhood club Roma – wants to return and show everyone that letting him leave was a mistake.
