CM: Milan monitoring €30m Sassuolo star and receive positive scouting reports

By Oliver Fisher -

A number of top Italian clubs are keen on Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi and AC Milan are among them, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com report that Frattesi is experiencing probably the best year of his young career despite the fact he could have been disappointed he wasn’t able to secure a move last summer, having netted six goals this season from his box-to-box role.

The feeling is that the coming summer will be the right moment for him to make the jump to a top club with Milan, Inter and Juventus all having followed Frattesi’s performances in recent weeks and having received positive reviews.

The Bianconeri are the most interested but they must see what the outcome is of the investigations that the club are involved in. Either way their plan is to focus on young players – possibly Italians – and with sustainable salaries.

That make Frattesi the perfect target for them, while Sassuolo are sensing the potential to cash in and are hoping for €30m in order to sell the Italy international.

  1. Sign Aouar instead in a FREE and use the 30M to help us finally buy a true striker. 30M on Frattesi is a waste IMO considering our limited budget. Bring Kessie back in loan and swap Poegba with Singo and add a decent back up to Theo and we are pretty well set

    1. Not how budgets work.

Frattesi is Italian, would command a lower wage, no signing fee and would be easier to get off the books in future if needed.

Over the course of a contract, they probably work out at similar amounts.

  2. Pobega for singo. We are thinking exactly on the same way. Also we can’t pay 30 m € for fratessi while we could get the Spanish player of leece for 13m or aouar for free as u said

  3. Ideally for less but fratessi has impressed any time he’s played milan and seems to be a really solid midfielder
