CM: Milan want Gabbia to follow the path set by Pobega

AC Milan want Matteo Gabbia to follow the same path that has been created by Tommaso Pobega when he goes on loan to Sampdoria, a report claims.

As has been reported by Calciomercato.com, the Rossoneri are going to loan Gabbia out to Sampdoria once they have confirmed a deal for a new defender to bring depth to the squad.

They want the Italian to take inspiration from how the last year of Pobega’s career has gone.

The midfielder was not very close to the first team but had a season on loan at Torino. He became a key player for the Granata and now is returning to Milan with the chance to play very regularly in Stefano Pioli’s side.

Milan think that Gabbia could do something very similar if he has a successful time at Sampdoria under Marco Giampaolo. He will hope that Milan can sign a player like Abdou Diallo soon to allow him to join up with Sampdoria.
