Another report has emerged claiming that AC Milan have a concrete interest in signing Hamed Junior Traore from Sassuolo this summer.
Traorè has not only played as a playmaker in his time with the Neroverdi as he can also be used as a winger, making him versatile and useful for Stefano Pioli’s system. He scored 7 goals and added 2 assists in 31 league games for Sassuolo last season.
According to what SportMediaset (via MilanNews) are reporting, the Sassuolo forward is very much liked by the Milan management and they even have a formula in mind that they hope can find an agreement.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are aiming for a paid loan with an obligation to buy set at around €20m, possibly conditional on qualification for the 2023-24 edition of the Champions League.
It is not too dissimilar to the formula of the Manuel Locatelli deal, as he moved to Juventus on a two-year paid loan with an obligation to buy.

What’s the harm though if it’s apparently going to be a loan with an option to buy? He’s a had a very promising season with Sassuolo so might as well give it a go
They won’t give an option to buy. The formula Juventus used is 2 year loan with an obligation to buy. It is just so you don’t pay the full fee in 1 fiscal year. So you use the paid loan x2 years and pay the rest in the end.
Traore is not the call for right now. He hasn’t played RW and he has only had 1 good season… I’m with Abanjo, if we want a class proven double digit goals and assists player every season for RW easy choice is Berardi.
No one is buying him for RW. What are you talking about? A player that is an AMC and we are missing AMC, how did you manage to get that someone wants him to be a winger at Milan?
Let’s not forget that the Locatelli formula worked because Juventus was buying, if Juventus wanted Traore Sassuolo would let them split the payment in 12 parts. Other clubs are a different story.
He’s good but 20 mil is too rich. Maybe something closer to 10 plus bonuses
