AC Milan are hoping to add Ismael Bennacer to their list of renewed contracts in the coming weeks as optimism is growing over his extension, according to a report.
MilanNews confirm that in the coming days there will be a key meeting to try to close the renewal of Bennacer, and when the Algerian returns from his vacation an attempt will be made to close the deal.
The month of December could well be the decisive one, with the player finally hoping to obtain a new deal with a salary going from the current €1.5m net per season to €3.5-4m per year plus bonuses.
As one of the backbones of Pioli’s team, the former Empoli man could be the 10th renewal of 2022 after Theo Hernandez, Matteo Gabbia, Tommaso Pobega, Rade Krunic, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Stefano Pioli, Sandro Tonali, Fikayo Tomori and most recently Pierre Kalulu all extended.
