Maurizio Sarri has rather unusually been out of work for over a year, but he wants to return to football in 2025-26 and AC Milan could be an opportunity.
As Calciomercato.com recall, Sarri’s last experience at Lazio ended in March 2024 with his resignation, one which came as a surprise after a defeat against Udinese. The reason for his choice was related to friction with the club over the last two transfer windows.
To be more specific, the coach had asked for Domenico Berardi and Samuele Ricci, but Claudio Lotito was unable to satisfy him. Since leaving the Biancocelesti, he has traveled around Italy to keep up to date, he has visited his colleagues during training and has watched countless games.
Simply put, he has a great desire to get back into coaching, though he is reflecting carefully on the right choice to make. Sarri needs to feel new stimuli, as he admitted recently: “Where will I go? Where they call me and that call is answered by a feeling, an emotion and a strong motivation.”
In recent weeks Sarri has been linked to Milan and Roma, two clubs looking for a coach for next season because both Sergio Conceiçao and Claudio Ranieri – for different reasons – are destined to leave their respective benches.
The Rossoneri hypothesis could gain even more momentum if Igli Tare becomes the new sporting director, given the two know each other well. However, Atalanta and Fiorentina must also be considered, as well as a job abroad.
Of course we pivot inevitably towards tha coach that has th lowest salary…
That’s the new Milan way. The cheaper the better.
I had a nightmare last night, woke up in the middle of the night screaming pale as a ghost and profusely sweating. As if i felt presence of Satan and C’tulhu combined. In that nightmare, ClownBird appointed Ibra as temporary SD until Paratici ban is lifted, Allegri is appointed as coach, RLC got a 5 year deal and we sold Reijnders for $50mil only to keep and extend Joao Felix. Good thing there is not a chance of this happening in real life
