CM: Milan identify three summer targets as January spending is limited – the names

With the spending in the January mercato limited, AC Milan are already planning for the summer, where they will hopefully benefit from a Champions League place.

It was made clear in the early stages of December that Milan would not have money to spend this month. Of course, there may be the odd pennies available for an opportunity too good to refuse. However, there will be no massive spending.

The reason goes back to last season, where the Rossoneri spent big, and it hindered them in the process. So, they will instead have to wait for a few months before they can start making big moves.

Of course, then they will also be supported, hopefully, by the purse of a Champions League place, which also affects their ability to spend now.

Names in mind

So, Calciomercato.com writes that planning is already underway for the summer, with a few options already being considered.

It starts with two out-of-contract names, the first being Leon Goretzka, who has been a name of interest for some time. Then, the big name of focus is Dusan Vlahovic, who may finally make his way to Milano, following his former coach.

At least for now, the final signing in mind is Mario Gila, who has become increasingly discussed in recent days, with a €20m move in mind.

  1. Finally some proactive planning instead of panic-buying in January. The squad is fine to push for top 4. Sure, would be nice to sign Dragusin or Aké on a loan without obligation, but that’s pretty much it. Would like to see that Kostic guy come in for the Futuro, although that seems unrealistic with Partizan’s asking price. But he looks like a very functional and versatile striker.

  2. We are fine to finish in TOP4, just bring a CB and bring back Musah as Salemakers backup and we are good for the rest of the season.

      1. Milan with Musah finished 8th last season and are now 2nd. Atalanta went crashing down to 7th place with Musah on board. Connect the dots. 🙂

        1. Yes, yes and thats all becouse of Musah, dont be ridiculus. Atalanta is not going to excercise a buy option for Musah, he is not playing so his value is not increasing, and he is not growing as a player. Thus I prefer to have him on our bench than rot on Atalanta’s bench, as he is perfectly fine to be a back up for Salemakers.

          1. “he is perfectly fine to be a back up for Salemakers.”

LOL. That’s a big NO even in all the other parallel universes too. What’s next, you want Origi back? 😀 😀 😀

          2. Agree bro 💯. He musah isn’t that bad..he’s young still and has some very good qualitys ..yes also has some very bad ones ..but he can improve and it’s better than him rotting on the bench

    1. It’s Jimenez who should be coming back.
Musah should have been sold for the first offer that came last summer.
      He’s basically unsellable now

      1. that ship has sailed…

our midfield needs a vice-regista: Bernabe, Vermeeren, Altimira, Casado, Perrone would all fit the characteristic

McKennie option also makes sense, alongside Vlahovic for the summer… can play both as vice Alexis and in midfield, while also with Vlahovic the 50-80M (excluding Nkunku or Gimenez sale) that will come from sales can be spent better elsewhere, like on quality midfielder and CB…

  3. While planning for summer please also have a plan for those players that won’t be bought from their loan. It’s painful when fans hate on a player that the club is unable to offload simply because the squad is bloated and said players won’t accept a transfer to some random unappealing club. We see this all the time but I’ll never understand the Nkunku transfer. Now the guy is kinda hated cuz the club brought in a player that didn’t fit the system

    1. Postoji provizija koju neko prima ako dogovori transfer .Za to se nezna ali ako kupi dobje npr milion eura !! Tako nije bitno koga dovodi nego koliko inkasira sebi u špag

  4. Grazie three good names taht will improve our lineup a lot but just 3 might not be enough think we will buy 1-2 backups and a young player as well
