AC Milan have held initial talks with Brighton about a potential deal for left-back Pervis Estupinan, according to a report from England.
With Theo Hernandez having left Milan to join Al-Hilal, Igli Tare is working with Massimiliano Allegri and the management to bring in a replacement. Estupinan’s name is one that appears to be gaining momentum, as Matteo Moretto confirmed an enquiry has been made earlier on Thursday.

Estupinan talks opened
According to Sky Sports News, the Rossoneri directors ‘have held initial talks with Brighton’ about signing Estupinan. Discussions are ‘at an early stage’ for now but the Ecuador international has entered the last two years of his contract with the Seagulls.
Last month, the defender himself suggested that he could leave Brighton for a new club in an interview he gave after a World Cup qualifier that he played in Ecuador. With Maxim De Cuyper and Ferdi Kadioglu having recently signed, there is now a lot of competition for the role.
Estupinan is ‘close to full fitness’ again after a lengthy spell out with a toe injury. He played the second half of last night’s pre-season friendly win against Stoke in southern Spain, the report from Sky adds, and Transfermarkt have his value at €30m.

You did the same with Pulisic when Milan was after him, besides Leao, Theo and Rejnders, he stayed fit more than anyone else in Milan for the past 2 seasons.

One of our other signings was out 4-5 games over 4 years. One of our other signings played 60+ games last season.
But that’s beyond the point. Injuries can happen to any player, like a muscle injury and missing a few games.
This player has had consistent periods over the past few seasons on the sidelines.
What hatred? I said nothing about management. And I so far approve of Modric, Allegri and Ricci. If they sign another mid, two fullbacks and a striker I’ll totally approve.

And what did I do with Pulisic? I never really said much about Pulisic.
What does this player here have to do with others? Look up Estupinan’s injury history on transfermarketweb. He’s missed around 30+ games in the past two years just for his club alone.
This has nothing to do with whether I approve of management, what I said about other players (I like Ricci and Modric), and I’m glad Allegri is now in charge.
In fact the other day I was praising Modric’s stellar fitness.

Estupinan was out for 337 days in 5 major injury events between September 2023 and February 2025 and 4 of them were muscle injuries.

There are better left backs out there. He’s a very good player when he does play, but being constantly out is a serious concern. And as he gets older, it’ll just get worse I think.
The Ecuador player is a good player but i won’t be surprised if Tare lose the player again . He keeps been having interest without making any moves to buy until other teams come for the players .
