Report: Milan interested in re-signing academy product valued at €15m

AC Milan are interested in the possibility of re-signing their former academy player Raoul Bellanova from Cagliari, according to a report.

According to Sportsnews.eu, Cagliari president Giulini is ready to sell yet another talent of his team for a capital gain as Bellanova is attracting the interest of a number of top teams in Serie A. He arrived in the summer from Bordeaux having come through the youth sector of Milan, surprising everyone with his quality and consistency.

The Italy U21 international proved to be very reliable and more functional so in June they will buy him permanently for €1m, and then they can sell him on to the best suitor. Juventus, Milan and Roma are all keen but Napoli and Inter are on pole.

The former must find a reliable deputy to Di Lorenzo and Spalletti is convinced he can turn him into a full-back in a four-man defence, while the latter are keen on bringing him in for Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2. He has a valuation of €15m that could yet grow.
