AC Milan have held talks with the entourage of Hoffenheim midfielder Florian Grillitsch over a potential free transfer, a report claims.
Calciomercato.it report that the 26-year-old seemed one step away from joining Roma in January but the move did not go through, though Serie A remains one of his possible destinations because his entourage are in contact with several big clubs in our Italy.
Inter and Juventus are in talks with his agents as are Roma, Milan and Napoli. Each team could come forward in the coming months if not in the next few weeks with a concrete proposal given the opportunity to land an Austria international on a free.
Grillitsch is also of interest to German, Spanish and English clubs, while the possibility of a renewal with Hoffenheim cannot be excluded either. A lot will depend on whether they achieve qualification for the Champions League, as they currently sit sixth in the standings with the same points as RB Leipzig in fourth.
