MN: Milan and Inter hold key meeting over new stadium but Sesto idea remains alive

By Oliver Fisher -

An important step took place today in AC Milan and Inter’s bid to construct a new stadium as they met the co-ordinator of the public debate.

MilanNews confirms that a meeting between the representatives of Milan and Inter and the co-ordinator of the public debate on the new San Siro stadium – Andrea Pillon – was held today at the headquarters of the Council.

Mayor Giuseppe Sala was also present, and the report mentions how it is the first time that the leadership of the two Milanese clubs have met with the co-ordinator. During the meeting, he explained the methods and outlined the timescale of the public debate process.

Milan are satisfied with the commitment put in place by the Mayor of Milan to try to speed up the process for the finalisation and the breaking of ground on the new stadium, but the Sesto San Giovanni hypothesis for Milan remains a valid alternative.
