CM.it: Milan and Inter monitoring Man City forward as mystery over contract continues

AC Milan are monitoring the situation surrounding Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus along with neighbours Inter, according to a report.

Calciomercato.it are claiming that Inter are big admirers of the Brazilian striker as their director Piero Ausilio has considered him a mercato dream for some time, and he actually tried to sign him from Palmeiras before he chose Manchester City, then turning to Gabigol.

With his contract expiring in less than eighteen months, the 24-year-old from Sao Paulo could be the man that Inter try and pounce on if Lautaro Martinez leaves in the summer, but his situation is also being carefully monitored by Milan.

The Rossoneri are on the hunt for a credible heir to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and to build their attack for the future around the right centre-forward. Jesus has 6 goals in 25 appearances this season, plus 9 assists overall.

Since last December City have been thinking about a renewal, but to date the negotiations have not yet taken off, so his salary currently remains at €5.4m per season.
